Description

Discover unique natural features by booking this 9 days discover Kenya safari. You’ll be able to explore the main attractions found in different regions in Kenya. This Kenya safari package is ideal for adventure seekers as it allows you to discover by walking in some areas.

Nomadic Holidays and Safaris organizes this Kenya safari holiday by starting with Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of free roaming elephants. It is also one of the few Kenya Safari destinations that you can get closest to wild elephants. Besides the elephants you also get the opportunity to see Cape buffaloes, impala, lions, spotted hyenas, Masai giraffes, plain zebras and wildebeests among other African animals. There is also a host of Kenyan birds, both large and small. Amboseli has an endless underground water supply filtered through thousands of feet of volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro’s ice cap, which funnel into two clear water springs in the heart of the park.

The highlight of this part of the 9 days discover Kenya safari is the sight of the majestic Mt. Kilimanjaro that stands at 5895m. This gigantic volcano can best be viewed on a clear sky early in the morning or late in the afternoon. You then get to the Great Rift Valley as you head to Lake Nakuru National Park. Besides the park being a unique birdwatchers’ paradise, it is also home to the endangered black and white rhinos, Rothschild giraffes among other wild animals.

Our 9 days discover Kenya safari will take you further north to discover the hot springs of Lake Bogoria National Reserve and the huge flocks of flamingos that are found at the shores of Lake Bogoria. Still at the Rift valley you’ll head to lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is the highest lake in the Rift Valley and also one of the few fresh water lakes in the Valley.

Afterwards you proceed to the most famous Kenya safari destination, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Known for the annual wildebeest migration that takes place between end of July and October. Masai Mara is a vast savanna that provides home to a wide range of wild animals, both predators and prey, birdlife and also plant species. One has the best chance in the Masai Mara to sight the Big 5 in their natural habitat. Masai Mara National Reserve will thrill you with its abundance in wildlife concentration. The savanna plains are filled with zebras, gnus, antelopes, gazelles and herds of elephants. During the Great migration the vast plains are dotted with massive herds of wildebeests, zebras and other plains game as they continuously move to the fresh grasslands. The highlight of this 3 days Masai Mara safari is Mara river crossing as the herds of wildebeests and zebras cross the crocodile infested Mara river, some getting stuck in the rocks, others struggling in the stampedes and others being drowned by the crocodiles. This is always an emotional moment but part of the process of natures’ cycle.
